What is a Custom Recovery on Android and Why Would I Want One? Do you want to install a custom Android ROM — in other words, a third-party version of the Android operating system — like CyanogenMod? You’ll probably be instructed to install a custom recovery, too. All Android devices ship with a recovery environment Pre-installed. This recovery software can be used to restore the device to factory default settings, update its operating system, and perform other diagnostic tasks. Android’s Stock Recovery Android devices come with Google’s recovery environment, which is often referred to as the “stock recovery.” You can boot to the recovery system by pressing device-specific buttons as your phone or tablet boots or by issuing an adb commandthat boots your device to recovery mode. Android Go: Everything you need to know About Android Go

Image
As part of today’s Google I/O keynote address, the company officially announced Android Go. It’s a new effort by Google to launch budget-friendly Android smartphones for developing markets. You might be wondering if you have heard this same tune before, and you would be right. A few years ago, Google launched a similar effort with Android One. However, it has not seen much success in terms of sales of new and cheap devices to those targeted markets. The new Android Go platform looks like it has many of the same goals as the older Android One, but with hopefully some improvements that will allow Google to have a better shot at selling more phones. Google says that Android Go will basically be a lightweight version of the upcoming Android O , but designed to run on smartphones that have 1 GB, or even 512 MB, of RAM. Going forward, all Android smartphones that have 1 GB of RAM or less will automatically run Android Go. In addition to the operating system being modified to work on

After updating to android 7.0 you will realize that your sd card storage space has reduced this is mainly caused from a folder labeled lost.dir it is where your phones backups up before the update it is safe to delete that folder to free up some space  The LOST.DIR is a system folder. Its a place where the Android OS places files that were recovered during a system boot up (ie when you turn on your phone). It is analogous to the 'Recycle Bin' under Windows OS. The files which are stored inside this directory are often recoverable. Most of the times you won't find anything at all in LOST.DIR directory. LOST.DIR folder contents can be deleted when it comes to saving your phone's memory. It won't affect your Android's functioning. By the way even after you delete it, the next time you reboot your phone the folder will be created again. When your Android system throws up a message saying 'Preparing external SD card' its actually checking the conte
